The demo of the NBA 2K20 is available now, but it's a little unusual

A demo for NBA 2K20 is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can download it to start creating and testing multiple versions of MyPlayer, which you can then add to the full game once released in a few weeks.

This is an unusual demo, which allows you to explore a character creator more than the lawsuit. You can adjust badges and attributes to create different archetypes of players. Once you've done enough, you can attend a rematch of last season's NBA finals between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors to test the behavior of your MyPlayer.

2K recently released a new career trailer for the NBA 2K20, giving us a glimpse of what your MyPlayer will do in the story mode of the upcoming game. Idris Elba, Rosario Dawson, Thomas Middleditch and Ernie Hudson play the lead role in the basketball drama, alongside the NBA superstar – and the occasional actor – LeBron James.

Not surprisingly, James is once again the highest ranked player in the last 2K match. If you want to see how the rest of the top 20 ranks, you can find the full list here. NBA 2K20 finally adds the WNBA this year as well, with 12 teams available in Play Now and Season modes. Some of the outstanding players in the league have been scanned into the game, as well as animations and game styles that fans expect to see in the women's league.

If you're interested in the NBA 2K20 and the demo just made you want, it will be launched on September 6 on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Check out our NBA 2K20 pre-order guide for information on pre-order bonuses and what's included in the Digital Deluxe and Legend editions.
