The ExoMy is a programmable $ 600 Mars rover that you can build yourself

You can download everything you’ll need to make it work – including assembly instructions and software – via GitHub. ESA estimates that it will cost most people around € 500 (almost $ 600) to purchase all of the materials and components needed to make ExoMy. It will also take around two weeks to 3D print everything. “We have tried to make the design as affordable and accessible as possible. It uses a Raspberry Pi computer and commercially available electronic components available online and at any hobby store, ”the agency explains.

If $ 600 is out of your budget, you can see the ExoMy in action thanks to a video shared by ESA. The agency hopes university students use design to learn more about robotics and the ExoMars mission.
