The Google Camera app has been transferred to the Snapdragon 855 versions of the Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10e. The application brings HDR +, portrait mode and Night Sight mode that is the subject of all discussions, to Samsung's new flagship products.

The port was developed by a XDA Forums and it works apparently without major compromise (it works even with the Galaxy S10's wide angle lens). XDA provided some examples of photos and it seems that Samsung's native camera and Google camera offer images of similar quality. In other words, until you switch to portrait mode and Night Sight mode, the Google Camera app is clearly superior.

The Google Camera app is a popular product at the moment thanks to its features based on AI. However, by default, it is only compatible with Google Pixel and older Nexus smartphones.

If you have the latest update of the Galaxy S10, install the Google Camera app on the Galaxy S10 series does not look very complicated. You can see the complete instructions, and more images, on XDA.

The Galaxy S10 Plus camera has generally been well received by critics, even though our David Imel was not a big fan. Read his opinion on the Galaxy S10 Plus by clicking on the link to find out why.
