The Google office in Madison about to move into a larger space

The company's CEO, Sundar Pichai, announced Wednesday that he was investing more than $ 13 billion in data centers and offices across the country in 2019, with major expansions in 14 states, according to the release. .

"These new investments will give us the ability to hire tens of thousands of employees," Pichai said in a statement.

He said they would create more than 10,000 new jobs in the construction sector in seven states, but that Wisconsin was not on that list.

With the new sites, Google will have offices in 24 states.

Officials did not disclose the details of Madison Google's office location or the addition of new jobs. The current office of the company is located in the Constellation Building on East Washington Avenue.
