ORLANDO, Fla. – Muggles and wizards from around the world invaded Universal's adventure islands on Thursday for the opening of Hagrid's Magical Creatures Adventure. ?♂️

Universal Orlando officials call the world's first "history coaster" ride.

The unique coaster advances and retreats into the forbidden forest in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, found in Universal's Islands of Adventure.

Officials at Universal Studios said they have planted 1,200 trees to create the forest that surrounds Florida's longest mountain, measuring close to one kilometer.

"Everyone is intrigued, and they should be it – it's really unique," said Universal representative Elaine Hinds.

The race has seven launches and a 17-foot drop. Runners will have the choice to sit on Hagrid's bike or in the sidecar, as Harry Potter has done in the blockbuster movies.

The journey of more than 3 minutes has thrills that sneak into mysterious ruins.

During the queue, guests will see classroom material, including dragon eggs about to hatch and an improvised nursery.

Visitors will meet beloved characters, including Arthur Weasley, Hagrid and his faithful dog Fang, through a pre-show experience animated by digital projection and special effects.

During the day's lesson, guests discover their imminent journey through the Forbidden Forest.
