Pharmaceutical CEO Martin Shkreli, who is currently serving a prison sentence, filed suit against three executives of his former drug company Retrophin on Friday.
The so-called "pharma bro" said that Retrophin's chairman of the board, CEO and legal counsel had illegally ousted him from the company and stole $ 30 million. He claims that these people benefited from his expulsion and were motivated by "selfishness, jealousy and greed".

Shkreli was sentenced to seven years in prison after being convicted of securities fraud for allegedly running his business as a Ponzi scheme. While he lost millions of dollars of investors as a result of bad transactions, he would have repaid them with the profits he would have made with his pharmaceutical company Retrophin.
Shkreli is also known for its exorbitant prices. In 2015, he had sadly raised the price of his HIV drug, Daraprim, by 5,000 percent – from $ 13.50 to $ 750 per pill – a decision he had defended at the time .

A judge concluded that Shkreli was responsible for $ 6.4 million that investors had put into his funds as a result of a fraud and $ 4 million for attempting to inflate Retrophin's share price in attempting to prevent investors from selling their shares.
According to the Wall Street Journal, while he was behind bars, Shkreli was running the drug company Phoenixus AG with a smuggled mobile phone. Since then he has been in solitary confinement.
