It’s almost time for another Game Awards. Geoff Keighley’s year-end awards ceremony, which also serves as the venue for big announcements, is back in December. Before the show started, the man himself revealed all of the nominees for each category. Surprise surprise, The Last of Us: Part II gets the most nods of any game; he is nominated in 10 categories. This includes Game of the Year, as well as Best Direction, Best Performance, Best Music, and more.
Ghost of Tsushima has also done well for himself with seven nominations, while poor old Dreams has to settle for just one nod for the best VR / AR game. The independent title Hades is also found in many categories, as well as Fall Guys. We won’t go through every nomination below, as it’s an absurdly long list, but here are the nominees for the Game of the Year:

- Final Fantasy VII remake
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Hell
- The Last of Us: Part II
