After nearly 10 years, Naughty Dog will eliminate multiplayer servers for Uncharted 2: Among Theives, Uncharted 3: Drake 's Deception, the last of us and the last of us: left behind on PlayStation 3 in September.
Announced on Naughty Dog's blog, the multiplayer servers for the aforementioned games will be closed on September 3, 2019 at 5:00 pm, yesterday.
However, from today until September 3rd, at 5:00 pm Pacific Time, all downloadable multiplayer content for Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us on PS3 will be available for free download, including all elements of play and vanity.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was released in 2009 and, in our multiplayer review, we said "saying that the multiplayer mode is fun would be a huge understatement".
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception was released in 2011 and we gave it the coveted 10/10, saying "from start to finish, solo or multiplayer, this game sings".
The Last of Us was released in 2013 and also earned us a 10/10. In our review, we stated "The last of us is a masterpiece, the best PlayStation 3 exclusive and an absolutely must-have game."
The Last of Us: Left Behind is a new pre-published published in 2014. In our review, we said: "Left Behind is an indispensable game for TLoU fans, especially if they want an essential context in the world of Ellie and Joel. "
Although the multiplayer stories of this title are about to end, all these games have been reissued on PlayStation 4. Although the multiplayer mode is not included for Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, the modes live forever.
