WARREN, Ohio (AP) – The latest Chevrolet Cruze sedan assembled at General Motors' assembly plant in Lordstown, northeastern Ohio, has bought a buyer.
The Warren Tribune Chronicle announced that the sedan was originally directed to a dealership in Florida, but was sent Friday to a dealership in Warren, where a buyer is expected to take delivery next week.
Alexa Sweeney Blackann, Vice President of Sweeney Chevrolet, said that when her store learned that customers wanted to buy the latest Cruze, a contract was signed with the Florida dealer.
The car was out of line Wednesday afternoon. Idling of the plant leaves 1,700 hourly workers in Lordstown jobless for the time being.
