The following contains spoilers from the Disney + Season 2 finale The Mandalorian.
The MandalorianThe season 2 finale left our nerdy, Star wars– worshiping the jaws on the floor, sure, but that also left us with questions. First of all, of course, it is:
1 | What exactly East the “Book of Boba Fett” story that was teased in the post-credits scene?
Some speculated (and some reported it without confirmation) that this was a standalone spin-off that Disney chose not to announce along with the rest of the galaxy during its Investor Day presentation. December 10. And yet, his first month of “December 2021”. aligns with the same arrival “December 2021” of The Mandalorian Season 3. Would Disney + Trot Two Star wars series in the same month? Or does Boba Fett take over as the central figure of The Mandalorian (although he is not a Mandalorian in itself), now that Din Djarin’s quest for the child is over?
Disney + is 100% mom on “The Boba Fett Book”, which is … curious… Given the mood of sharing the streamer was in on Investor Day.
While waiting for a word on Fett’s future, here are some other questions – some serious, some not so – that came to my mind as the Season 2 finale unfolded:

5 | Where did Mando’s Beskar spear materialize during this fight scene? (Here’s a screenshot just before he produced it to behead the Dark Trooper.) Is that super retractable? Fits in a shirt pocket?
6 | How did the Dark Troopers get back on the cruiser to get to the bridge? Or is their default setting “Protect Moff Gideon”, and he has, like, a GPS tracker on his person?
seven | Made Star wars Veterinarian Mark Hamill, whose voice is a little gruff these days, brings CGI Luke’s dialogue to a close? Was it assembled from clips from previous films? Or was it a sound? (“WITH MARK HAMILL” was appearing among the actors in the closing credits, but that could be a matter of likeness right.)
8 | Did Mando unwittingly dash Bo-Katan’s hopes of wielding the Dark Saber to get Mandalore back? Or are they due for an offscreen skirmish so she can win it through combat, at the end of Rocky iii? [“Ding, ding.”]
9 | Speaking of Rocky movies, who would have thought that Carl Weathers’ Greef Carga would be so short in Season 2, appearing in just one episode (and directing another)?
ten | Considering everything that has been learned in these last few episodes, what did Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, mean when he said that “in season 3 and season 4 … you’re really going to start to get answers? “?
11 | How is Bib Fortuna alive? How did he not die with Jabba and his other servants Return of the Jedi?
12 | Will “The Boba Fett Book” – whatever that is – pick up with him and Fennec Shand claiming the palace of the late Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine? Or does the “book” tell of how Boba survived the Sarlacc Pit, told via flashbacks, and how he got to where we first saw him this season? Or will it be a mixture of the two?
