Open funeral assistance requests
The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it continues to accept requests from people seeking financial assistance to pay for the funerals of people who have died due to covid-19.
People can request FEMA funeral assistance by calling (844) 684-6333 or TTY 800-462-7585 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday. Multilingual services are available. Applicants requiring relay services, such as a videophone, Innocaption, or CapTel, must provide FEMA with a specific number assigned to this service.

Documentation is required, including anything that shows the person died of covid-19 in the United States; the applicant paid the funeral, burial or cremation costs after January 20, 2020; and the applicant is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, Lawful Permanent Resident, or Qualified Refugee. The deceased does not need to meet these qualifications.
Other information includes the social security number; Date of Birth; place of death; any funeral or burial insurance policy; and whether other funeral assistance has been received, such as donations or grants from the Coronavirus Relief, Relief and Economic Security Act.

Schools report virus test results
The Little Rock School District reported Monday that between 3 p.m. Sunday and 3 p.m. Monday, 12 students and staff tested positive for covid-19 in eight locations in the district and 60 were quarantined for symptoms or exposure to covid-19.
The North Little Rock School District reported Monday that 24 students and two staff members had tested positive for covid-19, and 82 students and three staff were quarantined due to symptoms or exposure. Twelve of the district’s 15 sites reported at least one case of covid among students and employees. Five positive cases of covid have been reported from both North Little Rock High and Seventh Street Elementary.
The Jacksonville / North Pulaski School District has reported the identification of one positive case of covid-19 and seven people quarantined at Pinewood Elementary School in the district.
A spokeswoman for the Arkansas Department of Education said there were no reports of a school district switching to fully virtual education.

Reopening of the Bentonville test site
Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas is reopening a covid-19 testing site in Bentonville due to a recent increase in cases.
The site – 3101 SE 14th St. in Bentonville – is for residents of northwest Arkansas who have symptoms of covid-19, including fever, cough, and fatigue, or who have been in contact with someone who tested positive for covid-19.
Hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Appointments are available at https://bit.ly/2Wi7be8, but the hospital has indicated that it will also accept people who do not have an appointment.
