While team officials are looking into the weekend's incident, the Mavs believe that Porzingis was jumped and assaulted inside or near the disco of his homeland, and that the outstanding player 7-3 is defended to defend himself. (TMZ reports that the attackers are a group of local comrades who are unhappy that Porzingis no longer plays for the New York Knicks.) It is dangerous to draw definite conclusions far beyond that – and yes, this includes any assumptions made from viewing the video.

We see blood running down 23-year-old Porzingis's face, and we see he is wearing a torn white shirt. He seems to interact with a group of people. was talking to a group of people including a woman that he seems to dismiss before addressing another group of people. Later, this same woman joined the circle of apparent friends of Porzingis.
The Mavericks acquired Porzingis in a blockbuster at the February trading deadline, with the intention of making him a co-pillar of the future of the franchise alongside the likely winner of the Rookie of the Year title.
