A toast held at the Mercy Mission House during an after-hours event of the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce at the Short-Term Housing Center on Thursday, September 30. The Alpha Community Center, the Holy Angels Soup Kitchen and the Bridges Community Action Partnership will also be located on the site. There will also be a family resources officer available. The event included a toast and was co-hosted by Shelby County United Way. Neu hopes the shelter will open in early January.
