It was a rainy day in central Georgia, with many areas already receiving more than 1 ″ of precipitation.
The rain will continue overnight and until tomorrow with a few thunderstorms drowned in the main showers.
No severe weather is expected, but heavy rains and some gusts of wind are possible.
Friday continues the trend of showers and storms in the area, so it looks like it could be pretty soggy for the high school games on Friday night.
Rain totals over central Georgia by Friday will likely add an additional 2-4 inches of rain.
Tropical showers will remain possible all week and weekend.
Showers and thunderstorms will last for the weekend in the southeast.
Again, severe weather doesn’t appear to be a problem, but continued heavy rains could lead to flooding issues by the weekend.
It’s going to take a while, but it looks like we might finally see some dry weather by the middle of next week.
If there is any good news with all this rain, it’s that the highs will be much cooler than normal until the end of the week.
