As coronavirus cases have continued to climb in California and beyond, this reality show is forced to take a break from production.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are temporarily suspending filming of Season 11 due to concerns over COVID-19, People magazine reported Thursday.

Although a specific cause was not cited, it appears production has been halted to allow those involved to follow the correct health and safety protocols, possibly after potential exposure to the highly infectious virus.

The news comes about two weeks after The Real Housewives Of Atlanta cut short filming when it was revealed that a member of the show’s production crew tested positive for COVID-19.

Additionally, last month, The Real Housewives Of New York Coty had to partially halt production when a crew member caught the virus.

Productions across the country have had to adopt strict and rigorous protocols during the pandemic, often with daily on-site testing in place to ensure everyone on set is negative.

Potential Exposure: Although a specific cause was not cited, it appears production has been halted to allow those involved to follow the correct health and safety protocols.

Yet, due to the nature of filming various personalities indoors, the risk of coronavirus transmission remains high.

The new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will once again welcome Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke, along with new additions Crystal Kung Minkoff and Kathy Hilton.

Absent from the proceedings are Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Denise Richards, both of whom left the series after the Season 10 finale.

Currently, RHOBH Season 11 is slated to air on Bravo in April 2021.

It remains to be seen whether this production shutdown will cause a delay of this date.

The news comes as the country continues its fight to defeat the pandemic, which has been plaguing us since March.

Thanksgiving and the holiday season in general place an additional burden on recovery efforts, as indoor family gatherings will only increase the rate of infection.
