The Saints & Drew Brees suffer from a right hand injury against the Rams

Alert: Teddy Bridgewater takes control of the New Orleans Saints Center.

Drew Brees left Sunday's game against Lost Angeles Rams after the second set of his team.

The QB of the Saints was seen being taped to the wrist and hand. Brees had his hand hit by Aaron Donald and had him crush on his own helmet.

The saints officially called Brees questionable to return. He was not seen on the sideline trying to grab or throw the ball during Bridgewater's first practice.

Before leaving the club, Brees was hit several times, including by Donald who had caused the injury. Brees completed three of five passes for 38 yards and one INT (removed to Jared Cook) before going out.

Bridgewater took the lead with a 3-0 win for the Saints in the first quarter. Teddy B stayed in New Orleans during free time, choosing to be Brees insurance instead of competing for a first job. Depending on the duration of the absence of Brees, keeping the veteran's replacement, whose career had been hampered by a serious knee injury in 2016, could prove very important to the defending champions of the NFC South.
