The servers' World of Warcraft Classic & # 39; Blizzard will be online August 26

Just as the developers of RuneScape (Jagex) learned in 2013 by launching "Old School RuneScape" (a nostalgic version of the browser MMO, inspired by 2007), Blizzard, developer of World of Warcraft, saw a strong demand for a similar product. "Classic" server.

After years of allowing private servers to fill this void, Blizzard gave in to this request at Blizzcon 2017 and finally unveiled the "World of Warcraft Classic" to the public. The developer had promised that the game would be like it was about when it was launched more than ten years ago.

After a public demonstration at Blizzcon 2018, Blizzard has finally announced the launch date of the Classic servers: they will be online August 26 for North America and the United Kingdom and August 27 for the rest of the world. You will be able to create your character a little earlier than August 13th.

Whether Blizzard follows or not Jagex and deploys new updates that remain faithful to the classic experience – perhaps via a voting system under the magnifying glass at the Old School, looks like RuneScape – remains to be seen. It is possible that the developer simply restarts some extensions or updates, such as Naxxramas or The Burning Crusade.

Whatever the case may be, players will discover Blizzard's plans in the months following the official release of Classic. We are certainly pleased to see what the studio has in its sleeve and we will keep you informed as soon as we know more.
