The New Orleans pelicans were the big winners of the NBA provisional lottery on Tuesday night, and Las Vegas took notice.
The Pelicans are in the evening tied for the worst NB 2019-20 title at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook at 300-1, but their chance was lowered to 25-1 (tied for the 10th best place) after got the No. 1 pick and the right (no doubt) plan Zion Williamson.
Williamson is currently a favorite -2500 ($ 2,500 bet to win $ 100) at DraftKings Sportsbook who will be ranked # 1 overall.
New Orleans only had a 6% chance of winning the lottery.
The Memphis Grizzlies (also previously at 300-1) advanced to 100-1 after winning the right to choose No. 2.
Title ratings for the New York Knicks (3rd place) and Los Angeles Lakers (4th) remained unchanged at 16-1.
"We think it's much more likely that Anthony Davis decides that New Orleans may not be so bad now that she's getting Zion," said the director of New York. Westgate, John Murray, to ESPN. "We will not yet increase the chances of the Knicks, but that could reduce their chances of attracting Kevin Durant."
The Golden State Warriors are the +175 favorites to win the title next year at the SuperBook. The Milwaukee dollars have the second highest rating at +450.
