A SpaceX Dragon replenishment cargo ship successfully docked the International Space Station on Monday. This follows a two-day trip that began Saturday at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Astronaut David Saint-Jacques of the Canadian Space Agency, part of the Expedition 59 crew aboard the space station, captured the unarmed freighter with one arm robotics made in Canada around 11 am GMT about 250 miles above the North Atlantic Ocean.

About two hours later, a series of locks firmly locked the Dragon at the space station, ending the official landing stage of the flight and allowing the astronauts to unload supplies.

The Dragon capsule will remain at the Space Station for about four weeks before returning to Earth with more than 4,200 pounds of research equipment. NASA said.

This is SpaceX's 17th successful trade mission.
