Suicide team Director David Ayer expressed his frustration at not being able to realize his vision but also his enthusiasm for the iteration of James Gunn in a series of tweets.

In response to critic David Ehrlich who called the enthusiasm of fans for the upcoming film by James Gunn. Suicide team to be hypocritical after the reception of the original film was confused, David Ayer replied that he was not able to realize his vision. By not being able to do so, he felt as if the comments he had received were unjustified. However, David Ayer said he was excited about James Gunn's vision for The suicide brigade.

You can check David Ayer's tweets below.

Behind the scenes, we have indications that David Ayer's original vision had been altered and that the film had been cut off competitively by Warner Bros.'s executives. A decent amount of footage, mostly Jared Leto's Joker, was cut off from the film and was heavily edited. We will probably not see the original version of David Ayer's film in the near future, although we have James Gunn's version of Suicide Squad to hope for.

Yesterday again, James Gunn revealed the cast of The suicide brigade, who sees Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney return. The film should be a fresh look at the franchise that takes advantage of the best elements of David Ayer's version, namely some of the most interesting casting choices.

The first one Suicide team followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous dark mission in exchange for reduced sentences. Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and Jared Leto (The Joker) are part of the group.

The suicide brigade will be released in theaters on August 6, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on David Ayer, James Gunn and the future of DC's extended universe!
