In a series social media publications, Tritt said the accident occurred Saturday morning in front of his tour bus on the Veterans Road in Myrtle Beach. The bus was swept away while he was trying to avoid the accident after a driver who made a mistake hit another car, he added.
"The Jeep driver hit a truck head right in front of us, thank God, everything is fine, I feel so bad for those who died needlessly tonight, I'm literally shaken by what I saw God bless those who died and their families died, "he said.

The tour bus was slightly damaged while he was trying to avoid the accident, he said.

"Damage to buses can be repaired, but lives can not be replaced," he tweeted. "It could have been a lot worse, God has obviously looked after us tonight."

The Grammy – winning musician was produced Friday night in North Myrtle Beach.

Firefighters and rescuers from Horry County said two people died in a multi-vehicle accident around 3:30 am Saturday, while a third person had been slightly injured. He did not identify the victims.

The accident involved two vehicles and a tour bus, with no injuries reported on the bus, he added.
