A video showing police officers repeatedly striking a 16-year-old teenager during an arrest prompted the Delaware Attorney General's Office to review the case.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports that the video shows New Castle County police hitting the teenage male during an arrest on Friday. The video shows a teenager stuck in a driveway by an officer and repeatedly beaten by a second officer.

Attorney General Kathy Jennings said that the office of civil rights and public confidence of the MA was investigating the arrest.

Police said they had received complaints about drug trafficking in the area and that the 16-year-old matched the description of the complaint. They said they found "many" marijuana bags, a digital scale, prescription drugs and over $ 1,000 in cash for the teenager.

The young person faces several counts, including that of resistance to arrest.
