Kline spent the first three seasons of his career with the Patriots in New England, where he made 18 starts and played 33 games in total. Kline was with the Patriots from 2013 to 2015 and dressed but did not appear in the Super Bowl XLIX against Seattle after the 2014 season.

He made 13 starts (seven right and six left) in 2015 for New England.

Kent State's unregistered free agent, Kline spent part of the 2013 season on the Patriots' training squad before finally joining the 53-man squad in November.

Kline has played several times on the offensive line in college. He played on the right as the juniors before moving to the left guard in his last season with the Golden Flashes.

He was a selection of the second All-MAC team as a senior in 2012 after starting the 14 games.

Kline has a well balanced sports background. He was an accomplished wrestler at Mason High School, Ohio, 32 km from Cincinnati.

He went 45-1 as a senior and won a state title at 285 pounds. He had a total record of 105-23 in his last three seasons on high school mat.
