LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A member of Louisville's dance team will visit a specialist to repair a broken nose after being struck by a wandering pass by Ian Book of Notre Dame.

Elizabeth Scott was touched Monday night in the fourth quarter of the Irish Cardinals' 35-17 victory in eighth place. Book, under pressure, throws the ball off the court and hits Scott while she performs with other dancers near the South Cardinal Stadium area.

Sheryl Knight, coach of the Ladybirds' dance troupe, said in a statement Tuesday that Scott was meeting a specialist because of the complicated nature of the break. Knight added that Scott's pain was "manageable" and that she was anxious to go back on the sidelines.

Dental hygiene specialist Floyds Knobs, Indiana, joked on his verified Twitter account about his injury, and social media tended to do so. Scott even thanked Book.
