The Weeknd entered the 2020 American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 22) trying to capture the first AMA Artist of the Year of his career, and the pop superstar convincingly presented himself with a spectacular performance of ” In Your Eyes ”. and “Save Your Tears” … alongside none other than Kenny G.
One block from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, The Weekend prowled an empty freeway and sang as fireworks exploded all around him. Kudos to Abel Tesfaye for being able to navigate in a technically rigorous setup – especially on the move, face bandaged (as in his After hours era), and with Kenny G, who is guest on a new remix of “In Your Eyes”, giving him fluid jazz behind his back.
