Director Patty Jenkins has released the first poster for Wonder Woman 1984, following the announcement that Warner Bros. will not be attending Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year.

Jenkins tweet reads: "Now you have heard: WB will not be going to hall H this year, we are so sad to miss you here, and wait until December to start our # WW84 complete campaign– But the truth is … we can just … just … wait … "

The poster shows Gal Gadot of Wonder Woman in a new armor that evokes the appearance of his royal eagle armor – without the wings. She stands in front of a plethora of bright colors that create a pattern with sharp angles, creating the shape of a "W."

Gadot then tweeted the new poster saying, "I'm looking forward to sharing # WW84 with all of you!! Until then, we thought you might want to see that. "

The 1984 Wonder Woman should be premiered on June 5, 2020, after the original November 1, 2019 film, in which it was announced in October that the film was delayed – probably because of the opening movie of of Guardians of the Galaxy 3

In addition to taking over, Jenkins co-wrote the screenplay with Geoff Johns and David Callaham. Hans Zimmer will mark the film and it will be his second jump in DC after marking the entire Dark Knight trilogy.

Returning characters include Gadot as Diana and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor – although his character apparently died at the end of the first film.

Several new characters will appear in the sequel, including Kristen Wiig in the archaeologist Barbara Ann Minerva / Cheetah, Pedro Pascal in an unknown role (perhaps the evil Maxwell Lord), Kelvin Yu in Jake, Lyon Beckwith in Buzz and well d & # 39; others.

Jenkins has already revealed that she was planning Diana's screenplay if a third movie in the series was lit in green, claiming that Wonder Woman 3 would unfold in the current period, as opposed to another piece of the era.

Wonder Woman ended up being the most profitable movie in original history of national superheroes, earning $ 426,217,817, which allowed a woman to play a leading role. Black Panther surpassed the film in early 2018, breaking the record and amassing $ 700,059,566, and Captain Marvel advanced from a niche ahead of Wonder Woman in 2019, to $ 426,217,817 for the US box office .
