Science is a field of infinite possibilities, and researchers are constantly pushing back the limits of what we know and what we think is possible. Scientists are working on projects ranging from restoring mammoths from the ice age to cloning monkeys.
However, these two projects are strictly centered on the Earth and its inhabitants. What is undoubtedly more interesting are the projects on which scientists work beyond our atmosphere, in space.
As reported by Science Alert, as humans, we may be about to take a first look at a real black hole from April 10 – this is only 5 days.
It's an exciting event, even for those who are not particularly interested in space or science. We have always heard from teachers and researchers speak on black holes, of course, but we never really knew what we look like outside of the scientific simulations.
Or rather, we never knew what we look like in action. The black holes themselves are of course invisible. However, the attraction exerted by their gravity and the impact they have on their environment should be very visible because of the "horizon of events" that they leave behind. .
The people working on the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) project are the ones we have to thank for this upcoming event. Stay tuned here or on the official ISE website to see the first pictures of the research team when April 10th will arrive.
