A roasting company in California offers coffee lovers the opportunity to try the world's most expensive cup of coffee for a limited time.

Klatch Coffee Roasters, which has several locations in California, will serve Elida Geisha 803, Panamanian coffee beans costing $ 803 per pound and recently winning first place in the Best of Panama coffee contest. Beans, a variety of Kopi Luwak, are made by feeding them with cat-like mammals that then make them shit.

Each cup of coffee will cost $ 75.

"It's a unique coffee from Panama, and it's far better than the pet coffee you hear about," ABC News Bo Thiara, co-owner of the Klatch site in San Francisco, told ABC News.

Klatch has received 10 of the 100 books available worldwide – giving only 80 cups of exclusive coffee available in the United States. The majority of the beans went to Japan, China and Taiwan.

"It's the Oscars for coffee! Like wine, on a scale of up to 100, this coffee got the highest rating ever!" Thiara told ABC7.

"This coffee is not too roasted like what you have in other places, it roasts like coffee in the day," he added.

Klatch began offering "The Elida 803 Geisha Natural Experience" Saturday at his San Francisco store. He also proposes to send 18 grams of coffee beans and brewing instructions to customers who wish to try coffee but can not go to one of their sites.
