Move on acai – there is a new super hot food in town.

According to a new study published in De Gruyter's Open De Chemistry, the chokeberry berry – now known as the chokeberry berry – is now considered one of the most powerful providers of natural antioxidants for cancer.

For decades, food scientists have re-introduced such "superfoods" into ready-to-eat foods and meal replacements, such as cereals, snacks and oatmeal, to give to consumers access to the healthiest foods in the world.

Unfortunately, many of these fruits and vegetables are not resistant to the high-temperature manufacturing process – which deprives them of most of their health benefits even before they are eaten.

Blueberries, however, may be our best source of these powerful nutrients thanks to the fruit's unique strength against extreme heat and oxidation, according to new research.

"Due to the high levels of antioxidants in the aronia berry and its resistance to high temperatures during treatment, the research highlights the importance that could have aronia berry," says Anna Oniszczuk, author of the study, scientist at the Lublin University of Medicine in Poland.

The researchers analyzed the production of cornmeal porridge with blueberries and found that their antioxidant power did not degrade during production.

Native to North America, blueberries are rich in flavonoids, such as quercetin, believed to combat seasonal allergies and other diseases associated with inflammation.

Aronia Berry can be purchased in US stores and online as a fresh, dried, gummy or juice-based concentrate.
