This is what Mega Manectric will look like in Pokémon GO

Mega Manectric is coming Pokémon GO this Tuesday as part of the Charge Up event. Dataminers known as Pokeminers have now discovered in code how Mega Manectric and its Shiny form will appear in Pokémon GO.

One of the coolest parts of introducing a new Mega Raid is that the Evolved Pokémon can now be encountered as Shiny. Usually, only the first stage of a species ‘evolutionary lineage can be encountered in its Shiny forms (with a few notable exceptions), but adding the species’ Mega to the game also opens up the possibility of an encounter. Shiny.

So far we know Manectric can be encountered in Mega Raids starting Tuesday. One notable thing to keep in mind, however, is that evolved forms have appeared more frequently in the wild since the start of the Season of Legends. Gabite, Ampharos, Arcanine, Aggron and many other evolved species have been observed in the wild. Could we see the same with Manectric? During the Holiday 2020 event, the release of the Abomasnow Mega Raid also saw the Evolved Pokémon appear in the wild with increased frequency. So keep an eye out for this species in the wild, because all encounters, not just raids, will be capable of Shiny.
