The new bundle of emojis on offer was released by Emojipedia today, and it features a pregnant man, a saluting face, loving hands, and plenty of non-binary, non-sexist options!

Emojis revealed today still need to receive final approval before going live, but you can already vote on the emoji you most want to be approved. The announcement comes just before World Emoji Day on July 17, and the new offerings promise to make the current roster much more inclusive and assertive.

Published designs are subject to change and review by vendors, but the list looks promising for everyone from those who advocate for trans rights and fight climate change to K-Pop and military fans. .

Among the strengths of the emojis offered are the pregnant man and the pregnant person, which will be added to the current emoji of the pregnant woman. There will also be the gender neutral person with the crown to accompany the existing prince and princess emojis. The hand with the index finger and thumb crossed can be considered by K-Pop fans as the popular Korean finger-heart hand gesture. A coral emoji is also provided, representing the impact of climate change on coral reefs.

Approval of the final version of the emojis won’t happen until September, and they won’t go live until sometime after. If and once approved, this new bundle of emojis (14.0) will go live on most platforms next year. Emoji 13.1 was approved in September of last year and went live on Pixel phones in December of that year. IOS updates didn’t appear until April of this year. There are still some Android phones that have not yet been brought online with 13.1 emojis.
