Three injured when vehicle hits building – The Suffolk News-Herald

Suffolk Fire and Rescue and Suffolk Police units responded to a motor vehicle crash on Monday evening in the 3000 block of Kings Highway in the Driver Village.

Emergency Communications were contacted at 7:15 p.m. for a reported multiple vehicle accident involving one vehicle in a commercial store. Firefighters arrived at 7.18 p.m. to find a vehicle through a window.

Several patients were evaluated, with an adult and two children transported to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Due to the structural damage suffered by the company, the company was assessed by the rescue company for structural stability. The fire units secured the utilities to the structure and the building inspector responded to the incident commander’s request. The incident is under investigation by the Suffolk Police Department.

The intervention units included Battalion 2; Motor 10; Doctor 10; SME 2; Scale 5; Rescue 1; Safety 1 and the Suffolk Police Department.
