Tim Conway, star of "Carol Burnett Show", dies at age 85

Tim Conway, Carol Burnett's second star banana, winner of four Emmy Awards for her television variety show, is dead, according to her publicist. He was 85 years old.

Conway died Tuesday morning after a long illness in Los Angeles, according to Howard Bragman, director of LaBrea Media.

Carol Burnett's show broadcast on CBS from 1967 to 1978. Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Wagoner are part of the group. Conway joined the cast as a regular in 1975 after being a frequent guest.

In addition to his four Emmys with Burnett, Conway had two more Coach and 30 rocks.

Conway also had a modest but stable film career, appearing in films such as The apple pellet gang.
