A doctor in Arkansas say die Covid patients are begging him to get the vaccine and he has to tell them it is too late.
“I see someone every day – for three weeks – who may be dying, certainly very ill, who asks if he can get the vaccine,” said Dr Michael Bolding. told CNN. “And it’s heartbreaking to tell them that time has passed, that it was five to six weeks ago to prevent that.”
Dr. Bolding works at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This state, with Missouri, became the epicenter of the latest wave of coronavirus in the United States, which is wreaking havoc in areas with low vaccination rates. In Arkansas, only 44.8% of adults are fully vaccinated.
Dr Bolding says the situation in his hospital is “heartbreaking”.
“I literally just got out of a patient’s room in my twenties, and it took six people to get him to lie down on the ventilator,” he told CNN. “We are now seeing 20- and 30-year-olds dying from a preventable disease. “
The doctor said he was troubled by the “increased mortality” of states like his.
“I grew up in rural America,” he said. “These are my people. And they die. And it is tragic. And it really is a case of misinformation.
Pundits and conservative politicians have cast doubt on vaccines for months. Fox News Host Tucker carlson has several times interrogates fire efficiency, and Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene recently stated – incorrectly – that Covid is only dangerous for obese people and the elderly.
Dr. Bolding tried to break down this wall of disinformation.

This isn’t Dr Bolding’s first effort to get his point across. Earlier this month he starred in an emotional film Facebook video produced by Washington Regional, begging people to get vaccinated.
“What I really wish you could see is look into the eyes of a young father, or a man who knows he can be short for this world because he hasn’t received his vaccine, and the regret and remorse on his face – and the fear, ”he said in the video.
