HOUSTON (AP) – An actor and spokesperson for the Trivago.com discount hotel website (tree-VAH'-goh) has been arrested in Texas for criminal and drunk driving.

The court records show that Timothy Williams, 52, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Houston and released on bail of $ 100.

Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said Friday that Williams was stopped in traffic jams and fainted with his foot on the brake. Silva says Williams, of Houston, failed a sobriety test on the field and agreed to take a blood test for an alcohol test. The results were not immediately available.

A Trivago statement released on Friday said the company did not have all the details about the situation but treated such incidents very seriously and strongly condemned drinking and driving as a risk to others and to the Trivago culture.

The court records did not list a lawyer representing Williams.
