The recording legacy of rock and soul icon Tina Turner is officially in the hands of the world’s fourth largest music company.

BMG announced on Tuesday that it has acquired a portfolio of rights associated with Tina Turner and her music catalog, including her share of her solo recordings and publishing assets, as well as the rights to her name and image, Variety reported.

BMG declined to disclose the financial terms of the deal, but confirmed to Rolling stone that this is the largest artist acquisition in the history of Berlin society.

“We all know how iconic Tina’s work is,” Hartwig Masuch, CEO of BMG. told the magazine, adding: “When you look at the dimensions Tina’s career has entered even in the last few years between musicals and documentaries, there is still so much untapped potential with her legacy.”
