Camas (Wash.) Union Top247 Receiver 2022 Tobias Merriweather announced his commitment to Notre-Dame on Wednesday afternoon during a live broadcast on CBS Sports HQ.
The four-star Merriweather chose the Irish over Stanford. The other offerings included Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee, and all of the other Pac 12 schools.
247Sports analysts Brandon Huffman and Steve Wiltfong think this is a great pickup for Brian kelly and its staff. Notre Dame moved up to third in the 247Sports Composite Team Recruitment Rankings with Merriweather in the fold.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Merriweather is ranked by the Top247 as the nation’s No. 11 wide receiver and No. 75 prospect overall. He will play in the All-American Bowl and Polynesian All-American Bowl after his senior season.
The receiver is a great need for the Irish again this round as Kelly and her team work to piece together a piece that has lost likes as Saint-Brun equanimous, Miles boykin, Chase claypool, Javon McKinley and Ben Alouette in recent seasons.
The video above also explains Merriweather’s choice to play her college football at South Bend.
