Although Deltarune: Chapter 2 came out on its own, series creator Toby Fox has said his goal is for Chapters 3, 4, and 5 to arrive at the same time.
Toby Fox shared the news on Deltarune.com after the release of Deltarune: Chapter 2 and said that while he originally planned to release new chapters only when they were all completed, he realized that ‘”It’s hard for both creators and fans to go a long time without a release.”
Fox also indicated that Chapters 3, 4, and 5 will be where he “asks people to buy the game” at a currently unknown price but higher than Undertale, which currently costs $ 14.99.
Fox released Deltarune Chapters 1 and 2 for free and asked gamers (who can afford it!) To purchase another indie game to support small developers. In addition, those who wish to support Toby Fox can purchase the soundtracks for Undertale and the two chapters of Deltarune from Bandcamp.
“Just one request – remember games like this aren’t normally free,” Fox wrote. “If you can afford it, spend the money you saved by getting this game for free by supporting other indie developers. If you really want to give me money, buy the Bandcamp soundtrack. Thank you.”
Deltarune: The launch of Chapter 2 was surprising and was announced at the Undertale 6th anniversary celebration event just a few days ago. Deltarune, according to Fox, was much more difficult to develop than Undertale because of “the complexity of the new systems, plots and graphics.”
