Tony Romo will follow his appearance at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am playing in his home town, AT & T Byron Nelson.
The tournament organizers announced Tuesday that Romo had accepted a sponsor 's exemption to participate in the May 9-12 tournament in Dallas. Romo, who will play as an amateur, is a member of the Trinity Forest Golf Club, the Byron Nelson's host course.
Earlier this month, Romo retired from the Pro-Am AT & T Pebble Beach before Saturday's third round. He went to attend the funeral of Wade Wilson, his former quarterback coach with the Dallas Cowboys.
At Pebble, Romo and his partner Jim Furyk shot 70-65 and were near the bottom of the pack at age 8 when Romo retired.
