Gen Z venture capitalists have made headlines by forming unions, networking in Slack groups and racketeering Clubhouse. It quickly became clear: Gen Z is already shaking the venture capital industry.
There is no set path for Generation Z, those born between 1995 and 2010, to embark on the adventure. Some landed their first jobs by getting lucky with a cold email, while others caught the attention of bigwigs with ambitious personal projects. For example, a Gen Z member on our list landed his venture capital job after writing a book at age 18 that impressed a partner in a business. Others are forgoing traditional businesses altogether, opting instead for angel investments in startups led by Gen Z founders they believe in.
But there are some commonalities among the rising stars on this list: almost everyone uses social media in one way or another (see: TikTok’s three superstars), many deeply understand the importance of training. their own Gen Z venture capital communities, and just about all of them want to change the world.
Insider compiled this list by chatting with dozens of Gen Z venture capitalists to learn about rising stars making names in their own realm.
