Premier League clubs have until 11pm tonight to finalize their rosters for the first half of the season and there is still a long way to go. Chelsea are trying to bring in a new center-back and are in talks with Sevilla for Jules Kounde.

The Blues have also negotiated with Atletico Madrid for midfielder Saul Niguez after he was offered to a multitude of clubs.

Manchester United are on the lookout for a new right-back, with Diogo Dalot looking to move to Borussia Dortmund. The Red Devils want to bring Kieran Trippier back to the UK from Atletico.

Arsenal have made a disastrous start to the campaign as they are cemented at the foot of the table having not scored a single goal in their first three matches.

Mikel Arteta’s side are clamoring for a creative midfielder – but will Edu sanction a move before the window closes?

Stay tuned for all the latest transfer news throughout the deadline.

6:50 am: Real Madrid renounce deal with Mbappe

Real Madrid will not sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe this summer after walking away from negotiations.

According to Kaveh Solhekol, PSG did not respond to Real’s final offer worth around £ 150million (€ 180million), prompting the La Liga giants to step down.

Los Blancos will now wait until January to discuss signing a pre-contract deal with Mbappe ahead of a free transfer next summer.

They are said to be “confident” that the French superstar will sign after a long-standing interest.

6:40 am: Tottenham defeats Arsenal in battle for Emerson

Tottenham Hotspur beat Arsenal in the battle to sign Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal.

According to Fabrice Romano, Spurs have reached a £ 25.7million (€ 30million) deal for Emerson, who will join Nuno Espirito Santo’s side on a five-year contract.

Kaveh Solhekol reports Arsenal wanted to sign the Brazilian star this summer, but they chose Spurs to deal a blow to Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are still eyeing a new right-back with Hector Bellerin’s future uncertain and concerns about Cedric Soares’ overall quality.

6:30 am: James closes in on £ 24million Leeds switch

Daniel James is approaching a £ 24million transfer from Manchester United to Leeds United, almost three years after almost joining the club on loan from Swansea City.

According to The Guardian, James will undergo his medical examination in Leeds this morning after agreeing to personal terms on Monday.

The 23-year-old has started two of Man Utd’s three Premier League games this season, but his playing time will be affected by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

United will be happy to almost double their money on James after paying Swansea £ 15million to sign him in 2019.

6:20 am: Dalot’s departure is based on replacing Man Utd

Manchester United will only discharge Diogo Dalot today if he can sign a replacement before the deadline, which is currently unlikely.

According to Air sports, Borussia Dortmund are confident they will secure a deal for Dalot, but only if Man Utd can sign a replacement.

The Bundesliga giants are set to secure Dalot’s services on an obligated to buy loan, in case United replace him before 11pm.

With the Red Devils unlikely to be active when it comes to entries on the deadline day, Dalot’s exit is next to impossible.

6:10 am: Sevilla frustrates Chelsea with Kounde’s request

Sevilla remain firm on raising the asking price for Jules Kounde, frustrating Chelsea as the summer deadline approaches.

According to Athleticism, Chelsea had a “verbal deal” with Sevilla for the much-loved 22-year-old defender.

But the La Liga side suddenly increased their demand by £ 12.8million (€ 15million), ‘interrupting’ hopes of a deal from Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea’s interest in Kounde is likely to collapse today, but Tuchel is said to be happy with his current options.
