DAVIS – A man suspected of killing his brother, sister-in-law and another person in Maryland was apprehended by authorities in Tucker County this morning, police said.

The Howard County, Maryland Police Department posted the following on social media today:

“Howard County Police have confirmed that Jeffrey Allen Burnham, 46, of Cumberland, was arrested for the murder of his brother, Brian Robinette, 58, and his sister-in-law Kelly Sue Robinette, 57, in Ellicott City on September 30. He will also be charged with a third homicide committed on September 29 in Allegany County ”, states of liberation.

“Burnham was seen around 9 am on the side of a road in Davis, WV, with the 2007 red Corvette he stole from his brother’s house after the murder” according to the press release. West Virginia State Police took him into custody without incident and located a gun inside the vehicle. It is not known why Burnham left the causeway.

“Burnham is being held in West Virginia awaiting an extradition hearing,” the output continues. “There is no up-to-date information on the case at this time. Howard County detectives are still investigating the time of the murders and the possible motive.”

Burnham is also a suspect in the Sept. 29 murder of an 83-year-old woman in Allegany County, Md., Police said.

He is being held at the Tygart Valley Regional Prison.
