Trisha Yearwood received her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine two months after battling the virus.
The country singer, married to Garth Brooks, shared a photo on Instagram in the middle of her first dose.
“This #EveryGirl has finally received her first dose of vaccine! To everyone who made this day possible, thank you. Xo #grateful,” wrote Yearwood, 56.
Yearwood’s first hit came just a day after she discussed the lingering symptoms she had from appearing on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”.

The country singer revealed that she still hasn’t regained her ability to taste or smell.
“I have beef officially. You lose weight in COVID, I gained weight, I found it. What are you doing?” Host Kelly Clarkson, 39, joked, according to People.
“Spanx and I have lost my taste and smell too, so the food is a little different right now,” Yearwood laughed.

Yearwood added that she first realized she couldn’t taste or smell when Brooks brought her coffee five days after contracting the virus.
“I love you, but did you put coffee in here?” she remembers interviewing Brooks at the time.
Trisha Yearwood tested positive for COVID-19 in February while her husband, Garth Brooks, tested negative.

“It was just like that,” she said, adding that it had been “about eight weeks” since.
“Now it’s all about texture. I can tell if something is spicy, that’s about it,” Yearwood said. “I love to cook so now when I’m cooking I just ask Garth, tell me if he needs more salt and pepper. This is the strangest thing.

A representative for Yearwood’s husband Garth Brooks, 59, confirmed the pair were tested in February. While Brooks tested negative, Yearwood tested positive.
“She’s tough. She’s stronger than me,” Garth assured fans at the time.
