ORLANDO, Florida – Former President Trump delivers his opening address at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday – an annual conference finale that sees Trump deliver his first major speech since leaving.
Trump is expected to attack President Biden on issues ranging from immigration to high tech, while a source told Fox News he would walk “until another announcement campaign “in 2024.

His speech was preceded by the CPAC Straw Poll, which asked participants to find out who they would see on the ballot. Participants overwhelmingly picked Trump for a race in 2024, while voting for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a separate poll to see if Trump toss his hat in the ring.
Trump is not expected to announce a race in 2024 in the speech and instead will focus on the immediate future of the Republican Party. He is expected to ice the idea of forming a new party, instead committing to the GOP and paving the way for Congress to resume in 2022.

“We are not starting new parties, and we will not divide our power and our strength. Instead, we will be united and strong as never before,” Trump will say, in an excerpt from the speech obtained by Fox News.
However, this unity is unlikely to extend to those who opposed him as president – and he should target by name, including Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., Who voted to impeach. the president in January.
Trump’s speech was eagerly awaited by the extremely pro-Trump crowd. MAGA hats are ubiquitous at the conference, a plethora of Trump merchandise can be purchased at booths, and there’s even a huge gold statue of Trump wearing American flag shorts and holding a star-shaped wand in the center of CPAC. .

Other potential 2024 candidates were in attendance and spoke at the conference – which is sponsored by Fox Nation – including Senses Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Tom Cotton, R- Ark., Rick Scott, R-Fla., Governor of South Dakota Kristi Noem, Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Meanwhile, many of those who opposed Trump, including Cheney and Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, were not in attendance.
