President Trump proposed imposing application fees on asylum seekers as his administration tried to contain the flow of migrants crossing the southern border with Mexico.

Trump announced the proposal in a presidential memo on Monday and also called on the Attorney General and Secretary of Homeland Security to recast the immigration system.

According to recent statistics, more and more asylum-seeking migrants have been denied their candidacy since Trump became president.

The president gives the heads of departments 90 days to propose a settlement, so that all asylum applications are processed within 180 days, with the exception of those representing exceptional circumstances.

Trump also wants to instruct asylum seekers to process their asylum and employment authorization applications. And he wants to prevent anyone who has entered or attempted to illegally enter the country to receive an authorization allowing him to work.
