MADISON, Wisconsin (WBAY) – Eleven percent of Wisconsin residents eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine have completed their streak, according to figures released by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Friday.
A total of 667,193 people completed the series of vaccines, 20,085 more than the day before.
A total of 1,185,602 vaccines have been administered in Wisconsin. This represents 20.4% of the eligible population who received at least one dose.
The population of Wisconsin is 5.822 million people.
The state administered 57,517 vaccines between Thursday and Friday.
Wisconsin averages 40,884 shots per day.
The majority of people vaccinated are 65 years of age and over.

In northeastern Wisconsin, 12.4 percent of the eligible population have completed their vaccine series. That makes 58,759 people.
A total of 155,671 shots were fired this week in the northeastern region of Wisconsin.
The state reported one new COVID-19-related death on Friday, bringing the total to 6,525. The seven-day average is seven deaths.
A total of 550 new cases have been reported, bringing the all-time total to 568,902 positive tests.
The state reported 2,805 new negative tests, bringing the total to 2,661,456.
Forty-four new hospitalizations were reported as of Thursday.
The state says 555,849 people have recovered from the virus. It’s 97.7 percent. Wisconsin reported 6,369 active cases as of Friday, or just 1.1%.

HOSPITALIZATIONS
The Wisconsin Hospital Association says 233 people are hospitalized for COVID-19. That’s 25 fewer hospitalizations than Thursday and 24 fewer than a week ago. Fifty-five people are in intensive care, a decrease of 12 from the day before and 21 from a week ago.

CDC GATHERING GUIDE
The Centers for Disease Control has announced that fully vaccinated Americans can congregate with other vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or social distancing.
CDC recommendations also state that vaccinated people can reunite in a similar way – in a single household – with people considered to be at low risk of serious illness, as in the case of vaccinated grandparents visiting children and grandchildren. in good health.
