Twitch's mother streamer horrified by racist donation message

The mother of a Twitch streamer was left horrified by the donor who left a racist message on her son's channel, but she imposed the law on her viewers.

Following text-to-speech donations is one thing about Twitch since their introduction. Whether it's flaming the person behind the camera or making a joke, text-to-speech gifts can be used for fun purposes to enhance the flow experience.

However, some trolls push it too far by using it as a platform to launch a hate speech, and the streamers are left to try to solve the problem. Fortunately for this young Twitch streamer, his mother was waiting to give them a stern warning.

The streamer, whose identity is unknown, seems to be a young American, barely old enough to use the platform for ages 13 and up. Twitch requires parental supervision for streamers under 18, and his mother was doing it on his Minecraft stream.

While sitting on the loading screen, the streamer received an incredibly racist message about donations, in the sense of "bash all n ****** crulls in PogChamp".

Caught unprepared by the message, the streamer immediately called her mother to fix the problem, and she showed her son's viewers the limits.

"Let me explain something clearly," she says. "If you just spammed this shit, I'll make sure you're banned from Twitch, from our lives in general."

She took a firm stance against the troll but mostly assured her son was safe after the incident.

While text-to-speech donations usually have some kind of anti-profane filter, the filter is not enabled on some streamers or has strict enough parameters to block hate speech.

It's easy enough to activate if you have not already activated them – go to the Donation Settings menu in StreamLabs or the Toggle menu in StreamElements, and activating the Profanity filter should block most of the big words . This can help keep the feeds as PG as possible, and safe from text-to-speech type donations.

It's unclear if the filters have been disabled or not, but the fact is that the message was dropped through the cracks and his whole conversation with Twitch was exposed.

The mother's warning may only be at her son's audience, but anyone involved in the streaming community can fire from her book with messages of donation. Make sure your filters are strong and enabled. If you are a parent, protect your children online.
