Two dead, a policeman taken to hospital in Florida by bullet

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (AP) – Two people died and a police officer was injured in a shootout in a Florida home on Saturday morning.

The Coconut Creek police report that the suspect is currently in custody.

The authorities claim to have received a call about a domestic brawl, possibly a stabbing attack, and that a woman was knocking on a neighbor's door screaming for help .

The Coconut Creek Police Chief, Albert Arenal, said that an officer had arrived at the scene in just one minute and that he had been immediately surprised by a shower of bullets.

Police also said that an officer had been injured and taken to the hospital. His condition was not known.

They tweeted that a third person had also been injured and taken to the hospital.
