Apple’s AirPods 3 are here in the form of another image leak. The images below appear to show the third generation of Apple’s mainstream TWS earphones and match previous leaks.
Rumor has it that Apple will use an almost identical design between the AirPods 3 and the AirPods Pro, with silicone tips at the end. But we’re starting to think that AirPods 3 will have an open-ear design, like AirPods 1 and 2, with no rubber tips at the end.
It would make sense to differentiate the 3 from the Pro. The in-ear design, like that of the AirPods Pro, provides superior isolation from outside noise and is a great foundation for active noise cancellation.
The AirPods 3 are said to have spatial sound, but no active noise cancellation, and will cost around $ 150.
Apple is expected to host an event for the AirPods 3 later this month, possibly March 23 (coinciding with the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro event).
