“I thought he was a trash,” Hill said in an interview with Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” Tuesday. “I’m not going to cap.”
He explained, “When he got there I was like, is that who you all drafted here?” Who did you all write down? Hey but listen, he proved me in a complete whole, I don’t know. This second year, like his quarterback mechanics were different. It was as if he was spending more time with his quarterback coach, spending more time with Coach Reid, like learning offense. Dude was like different.
Mahomes certainly proved Hill wrong.
After being drafted No.10 in the 2017 draft, Mahomes played just one game in his rookie year, where he led the Chiefs to a 27-24 victory over the Denver Broncos.

He was named a starter the following year after Alex Smith was traded to the Washington football team and was ultimately named the league’s MVP after throwing 5,097 yards for 50 touchdowns – second in history of the NFL behind Ben Roethlisberger of Pittsburgh.
His biggest achievement to date was winning the Super Bowl in February, where he was also named Super Bowl MVP.
